Fall

This week we reviewed fall concepts like pine cones, leaves, and squirrels.
 
We also learned new songs about leaves and squirrels.

Ten Little Leaves

Sung to: "Ten Little Indians"

1 little, 2 little, 3 little leaves
4 little, 5 little, 6 little leaves
7 little, 8 little, 9 little leaves
10 little leaves, falling from the tree

Five Little Squirrels

Five little squirrels with acorns to store.
One went to sleep and then there were four!
Four little squirrels hunting acorns in a tree.
One fell down, and now there are three!
Three little squirrels wondering what to do.
One got lost, and now there are two!
Two little squirrels tossing acorns for fun.
One got tired, and now there is one!
One little squirrel playing in the sun.
He ran away, now there are none.

 We looked at and read new books about fall.


 
Monday

On Monday we had lots of fun during outside play. We enjoyed playing in the sandbox and practiced our writing with chalk.











 
Tuesday

Tuesday our little ladies painted squirrels. We used dried leaves for the tails, keeping it eco-friendly.






 
Silly's of the day!




Amia has really grown in her fine motor skills. She enjoys catching water in a cup and sipping it.

                                             Avery had fun playing dress up.
 
Wednesday

On Wednesday Avery loved joining her friends in the sandbox.






 
Lunch was a hit!



 

Thursday

Thursday we welcomed back Suzianne.
 
Amia loved playing dress up, she looked so adorable in her hula skirt.
 
For outside play we enjoyed bubble fun!


 
Ella had a blast making and tasting mud pies.

Friday

Friday Suzianne made a fall sensory jar for her friends to enjoy. In our sensory jar we included dried leaves, pine cone pieces and used fall colors, orange, red, and yellow.










 

Next week we will begin our pumpkin lesson plans. Introducing new finger plays, songs, books and activities.

Lunch: Basmati rice with beans, ground beef, onion and tomato
Snack: Cinnamon Cookies, Pear, yogurt
Wednesday
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, waffles, banana
Snack: Crackers, Cheese, Blueberries
Lunch: Spaghetti noodles, Alfredo sauce, cauliflower, peas
Snack: Cinnamon Cookies, Pear, yogurt
Thursday
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, waffles, banana
Snack: Crackers, Cheese, Blueberries
Lunch: Basmati rice, chicken, potato, squash
Snack: Cinnamon Cookies, Pear, yogurt
Friday
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, waffles, banana
Snack: Crackers, Cheese, Blueberries
Lunch: Spaghetti noodles with tomato, garlic, onion, and meat sauce
Snack: Cinnamon Cookies, Pear, yogurt
